We do have a lot of military bases and high-tech jobs in Alaska. Maybe we have a lot more scientifically minded women up here. Always. And I'm wondering if it's an Alaska thing, or if it's a Fred Meyer's/Kroger's thing. It's almost always either STAR PRINCE or CONTACT, although the last one was STAR PRINCESS. Then, they put MOONSTRUCK out on May 23rd. Her new releases seem to stay on the shelves longer than those around her too. They sell, they're re-stocked. Now, they do this with Nora Roberts (also known as JD Robb, I think) and J.K. Rowling and such, but I haven't noticed any other SFR author getting this kind of treatment from them. Although, I must confess I don't pay as good attention to authors whose books I don't read or encounter regularly on-line.

So, any of you been to Freddies/Kroger's lately?

We live too far away from a big city to visit a regular brick-and-mortar bookstore anymore. It's Freddies or on-line shopping. Although, I get almost all my books free because I review them at Enduring Romance. I imagine Alaska has a higher-than-average number of on-line shoppers.
