Brandy, yes, I do too. I think the military culture translates so well to SF/SFR. Many SF icons like Star Wars and Star Trek depict the military of the future, I just felt TOS did it even better by capturing the essence of military life.

Cathy, I highly recommend it. (Probably obvious from my article, huh? :) ) Terry is probably my pick for the most intriguing SFR hero. He really is "anyman" caught up in extraordinary events. I'm fascinated with his character.
