Parallel Universe is a special science fiction romance online event that will coincide with the RWA 29th Annual National Conference in Washington D.C. Here at The Galaxy Express, SFR fans unable to attend the conference can gather for a series of guest posts, news, and links.

A fantastic resource for keeping abreast about conference events is aggregate site Blogging National, which has kindly added The Galaxy Express to the list of bloggers providing conference news and related posts.
Author S.L. Viehl will present Left Behind And Loving It, her fourth annual series of online workshops for those unable to attend the conference. LB&LI will run July 13-20.
Romance Divas is featuring a number of free workshops July 14-18. SFR author Linnea Sinclair will present the workshop, "Going Deep: Writing Deep POV." Site registration is required, but it's FREE!
Conference attendees interested in learning about digital publishing need look no further than the Rogue Digital Workshop. It will be held at 10 a.m. on July 16.
Samhain Publishing will host a meet & greet on July 17 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at the conference hotel in Executive Editor's Angela James’ suite.

If you’re going to be at the conference, the hotspot for SFR fans is The Gathering, hosted by the Fantasy, Futuristic, & Paranormal Chapter of RWA. It will take place Thursday, July 16 from 7-10 p.m. The deadline to register for this event is July 10.

I'm not going to be at Nationals, but I'm so glad more and more romance writers left behind are joining in the fun through the internet, and sharing their expertise. Perhaps one day, there will be a virtual romance writers' conference to go along with Nationals, replete with pitch sessions, workshops, swag, etc!
